Hello, fellow scum of the Earth, This Guide is here to help you learn all the hidden controls/features of SCUM! I'm already in love with the game, so I've decided to make my first guide for it! I will be updating this as I learn of things, or they are suggested to me from fellow community members as updates for the game come out.

Movement/Character Tips and Secrets.

You can Control your crouch hight to make yourself less visable/vulnerable.
  • By pressing Control + Mouse Scroll Wheel to move your character up and down between standing and crouching and anything in between.
You Keep Overdosing on Medicines and Don't Know Why?
  • Well the simple answer is you should simply make sure you are full/have eaten before you take any medicine or drugs will give you a overdose debuff (Is that even the proper way to refer to that in this situation?) because they can't metabolise properly without food in your system.
Oh No! I Ate Something Bad/Took To Much Medicine.
  • Oh, its alright Johnny just make like a bulimic cheerleader after Thanks Giving dinner! Hold Tab>Select The Toilet Icon>Click Vomit Picture.
You Can Craft Bundles of Long/Short Sticks and Planks To Make Tansporting Materials To Where You Want to Build Faster.
  • Go to crafting menu and all of them should show up in the Items box in upper left hand corner.

Hidden Controls/Tips With Rifles!

You Can Adjust Your Zeroing With Your Scope
  • By pushing Shift + Mouse Wheel while aiming down sites/scope!
You Can Adjust Your Windage On Your Scope Aswell! (Not Sure if it's Needed yet. You Actually Currently Use Windage In Single Player ATM! It's Pretty Spiffy to Play With!)
  • By Pushing Shift + Alt + Mouse Wheel you can adjust to compensate for the wind! (When it's added well I havent had to use it at all yet)

Finally, Range Finding AH! I hear You asking, Screaming and Pleading! Well, Whats The Point Of Zeroing or Setting The Windage if I Don't Know the Range of My Target or Which Way The Wind is Blowing!?

  • Well first I must tell you to calm down! By just ever so gently tapping the Ctrl button while aiming down sights will intitiate the range finding feature built in as a standard in all scopes in SCUM! Now you can know the Pressure, Tempature, Humidity, Wind, and Range in between you and your target!
You Can Hold Your Breath to Stabilize Your Aim!
  • By holding the Ctrl button you can stabilize your aim to take those really long shots!
Sniping Without Zeroing Scope (My Preferred Method!)

  • Basically whats shown here is my scope and where my shot will land if I pulled the trigger, the way I like to think of it is in percentiles the image shown shows the tree (kinda difficult to make an example of a puppet they kept de-spawning at long ranges so bear with me.) is 263 meters away, so basically each tick on the scope measures 100 meters apart so first is 100 meters **Since The Scope Is Zeroed at 100 Meters** that means the second tick is at 200 meters and the third is at 300 meters and so on. Back to what I was saying the tree is at 263 meters out, in order for the bullet to hit my target I need to aim 63% of the way between tick 200 and tick 300, which is a little over half-way down thus hitting the target where my 263 mark is at, this works with zeroing as long as its set to 100 if you zero at 200 the numbers get wonky. If i wanted to hit roughly in the same area I did there while zeroing I usually would round up and zero to 300m and aim a hair low. But you shouldn't have to worry to much about zeroing unless your going 500m+ out, if demanded enough I'll add in a long distance shooting guide and to zero without using the range finder.

Weapons That are Currently In-Game.
  • AKM - Assault Rifle - 7.62x39mm
  • AK47 - Assault Rifle - 7.62x39mm
  • AKS-74U - Carbine - 5.45x39mm
  • Dragunov SVD - Designated Marksman Rifle - 7.62x54mmR
  • Hunter55 - Bolt-Action Rifle - .22mm
  • Kar98 - Bolt-Action Rifle - 7.92x57mm
  • M1 Rifle - Semi-Auto Rifle - .30-06mm
  • MP-5 - Submachine Gun - 9x19mm
  • TEC01 490 - Shot Gun - 12Ga
  • TEC01 M9 - Semi-Auto Pistol - 9x19mm
There is Four Attachments Currently In-Game
  • Scopes Can Currently only be used on AK47, AKM, Ak74u and Dragunov With Rail Attachments You Cannot Use Them On Kar98, MP5, Hunter55 or Pistols.
  • ACOG: Says it zooms from 1.5x to 6x (currently not Implemented) default zooms into 4x, you can Tap Ctrl to range find, Zeros from 100m (default) up to 1000m.
  • Hunting Scope: default zooms into 6x No possible way to change zoom level yet, you can Tap Ctrl to range find, Zeros from 100m (default) up to 1000m aswell.
  • RIS Adapter for Dragunov: Allows you to Attach a Hunting Scope or ACOG.
  • RIS Adapter for Ak47: Allows you to Attach a Hunting Scope or ACOG to a AKM or AK47.

Mushroom/Nature Guide!

Edible Mushrooms!
  • Agaricus Augustus:
    -Collects metals/minerals around it, so this leads me to believe it will help you keep some of your minerals in-game in check! **Untested**

  • Lycoperdon Gigantea:
    (aka: Puff Ball)
    -Is edible as long as spores haven't formed, otherwise it can cause the stomach to be upset. Has been used as a used as a anti hemorrhagic (constricts tissue to seal injured blood vessels.) in a sliced/powdered form! Also a main source of the anti-tumor mucoprotein calvacin and is only present in small quantities.

    -Can be eaten 10 times as it is large typically eating it 3 times in a row will make you puke from over-eating.

  • Lepiota Procera:
    -Slightly toxic raw, But can be eaten cooked (Not Implemented to be toxic at all yet)

  • Coprinus Comatus:
    -Can be eaten when young, before the gills start to turn black. (Dunno How In-Depth they are gonna go into their fungi for time being is edible. XD)

  • Catharellus Cibariu:
    -Is a Culinary delicacy, considered "one of the most important and best edible mushrooms."

    -Reading information on it I'm Lead to believe this is good for Vitamins B, C, and D aswell as most your minerals. **unconfirmed in-game**
Edible But Also Psycho-Active (Not Currently a status in game so they are just edible.)
-Warning: Will more then likely make you hallucinate later in the game's development!
  • Psilocybe Cyanescens:
    -Also Known as "The Magic Mushroom"

    -The Psycho-active intoxication is caused by the chemicals: Psilocybin, Psilocin,
    Baeocystin, and Norbaeocystin.
    Best source I know of for Vitamin D!

  • Amanita Muscaria:
    -Will Make you Grow Big like in Mario! (That's a joke) It technically labelled "poisonous" but human deaths from this are extremely rare and it's been used as a intoxicant and entheogen by the people in Siberia, and has a religious use in their cultures.

    - Also used many other places as a intoxicant.

    -The Psycho-Active chemical that causes intoxication is Muscimol.

    Amanita Pantherina:
    -Lives as with symbiosis relationships with tree roots, using photosynthesized nutrients from the tree and providing soil nutrients back to the tree in return.

    -The Psycho-Active chemical that causes intoxication is Muscimol.
Poisonous Mushrooms.
  • Amanita Virosa:
    -Also known as the destroying angel, as it can an adult human after eating just one cap! (Currently in-game seems completely fine to eat didn't even get sick!)

  • Amanita Phalloides:
    -Also Known as the death cap and is extremely poisonous, is actually one of the most poisonous of all known mushrooms. STEER CLEAR! (Maybe? Is it implemented as poisonous in game yet?)

Admin Commands For Servers/SinglePlayer!

There isn't a console in-game at the moment if your in single player just type #Command X Y and they should work.
